The Gateway District Pinewood Derby will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009. The location is still being determined.
Competition will be held in two divisions - Racing and Best of Show. Trophies will be awarded for for 1st thru 3rd places in each division. The size of each trophy will be determined by the number of entrants. If last year's trophies are any indication, don't be surprised if the trophies are as tall as the winners.
Racing will be held on 4-land, 48 foot aluminum track with electronic timing. We will have independent judges for the Best of Show competition.

2009 Gateway District Pinewood Derby Rules
The Gateway District Pinewood Derby was held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Cub Scout Pack 667 would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who helped make this year's derby a huge success.
Several people have asked about the equipment that we use to put on the derby. Here's a brief description of the equipment and links to the manufacturers' web sites.
The track is a 4 lane, 49 foot aluminum track and was purchased from BestTrack.
The Fast Track timer was purchased from Micro Wizard.
Our race management management software, GrandPrix Race Manager, was purchased from GrandPrix Software Central.
The weigh-in scale is accurate to 0.1 gram and was purchased from Old Will Knott Scales. Look for the My Weigh iBalance 500 (i500) scale.
The car inspection go/no-go gauge was purchased from GrandPrix Software Central.
Our sound system, the B-52 Matrix 200 Portable PA System, was purchased from Guitar Center.
Finally, those awesome trophies were purchased from Crown Trophy. We use the store at 6680 Wadsworth Blvd.
